Northern VA Community College- Parking

Erosion Control, State & Local

The local community college needed to create a temporary parking area in an existing field – before the fall semester began. Our work began with grading of approximately 24,000 square feet, followed by installation of Ecoraster grid. Ecoraster is an erosion-control grid system manufactured from 100 percent recycled plastic. The product is fully permeable, supports up to 70,000 pounds per square foot and can be removed and recycled once no longer needed or can remain in place indefinitely, allowing for overflow parking in this area for as long as needed.

The lot is a good example of how WML uses technology to solve problems as well as our focus on environmentally friendly solutions.
